Boulders Beach
Boulders Beach – The Home of our Cute Penguins
Home to Africa’s only land-based colony of African penguins, sheltered among granite boulders in Simon’s Town on the peninsula’s False Bay side. Wooden walkways let visitors get remarkably close without disturbing the colony, and the sheltered coves make for some of the calmest swimming on the peninsula. A short stop with an outsized sense of wonder — there’s something quietly moving about watching penguins waddle past on an African beach.
