Hermanus
Hermanus – South Africa’s Ultimate Whale-Watching Escape
The world’s best land-based whale watching, by most accounts — southern right whales come within metres of the cliff path through the town between June and December. Beyond the whales, Hermanus anchors the Overberg’s growing reputation for cool-climate wine, with the nearby Hemel-en-Arde Valley producing some of the Cape’s most sought-after Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
