Paarl
Paarl – Experience world-class Wineries
The oldest of the three great Winelands towns, its name taken from the granite dome that catches fire-orange light at sunset above the valley. Vineyard-covered slopes run right up to the edge of town, with Fairview and Nederburg among the historic estates within easy reach. Paarl carries its history more visibly than its glossier neighbours – a working wine town first, a destination second, which is exactly its appeal.

Best time to visit Paarl
The best time to visit Paarl is during the warm summer months from November to April, when the vineyards are lush, the weather is ideal for wine tastings, and outdoor experiences are at their best. February and March are particularly beautiful as the grape harvest season brings the vineyards to life. For cooler temperatures, fewer crowds, and stunning autumn colours, April and May are also excellent months to explore Paarl’s historic wine estates, scenic landscapes, and charming countryside.
